Paytm said its Diwali-themed QR code draws inspiration from the warmth, unity, and prosperity associated with Diwali.
One97 Communications Limited (OCL) which owns the brand Paytm, the payments and financial services company, has launched a Diwali-themed QR to celebrate the spirit of the festive season. The company has deployed the themed QRs across 239 cities, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Goa, Kolkata and many more.
The company went live with the onboarding of new UPI users on the Paytm app, last week. This comes after the Company received approval from the National Payments Corporation of India on October 22, to onboard new UPI users.
Merchants can enhance their shop or point of sale by adding these festive and visually appealing QR codes, creating a more engaging and vibrant atmosphere. The festive Paytm QR is easy to set up, encouraging small businesses to adopt mobile payments during the peak shopping season.
By incorporating vibrant Diwali motifs, Paytm seeks to create a festive ambiance that resonates with merchants and customers alike, making payment experiences more personal and memorable, the company said in a press statement.
