Rose Surgan starred for top-seeded Metuchen with two goals and two assists in its 7-1 win over eighth-seeded Manville in the quarterfinal round of the Central Jersey, Group 1 Tournament in Metuchen.
Kaitlyn Connors added two goals and one assist for Metuchen while Sarah Hyman, Victoria Zaniecki and Julia Chinchar all scored one goal each in the victory.
Metuchen is now 17-5 on the season and has advanced past the quarterfinals after losing in that round the previous two seasons. Metuchen will host fourth-seeded Delaware Valley in the quarterfinals on Monday.
