Since coming to the Washington Wizards, Jordan Poole has heard a lot of criticism.
In fact, he has seemed like a punchline to some people at times.
And while the NBA season has just started, Poole is doing really well so far.
According to StatMuse, Poole is averaging 22 points and 5 assists through the first three games of the season.
He is also shooting 5.3 three-pointers per game and has the highest three-point percentage by a player with 15+ threes.
So, has his redemption season begun?

Poole is averaging 22 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists, and a league-high 3 steals per game.
That’s an incredible turnaround, especially when you look at his numbers from last year.
Of course, Poole now has to keep this going and can’t slip up and fall back into old bad habits.
Poole came to the Wizards after a tumultuous relationship with his previous team, the Golden State Warriors.
Washington envisioned Poole as a team leader, someone who could take control and become its biggest star.
Instead, Poole ran headfirst into a lot of problems and many NBA fans were shocked to see him and his team flounder.
Right now, the Wizards have a 1-2 record.
Most people agree that they probably won’t be a playoff team again but that doesn’t mean Poole can’t have a great season.
In fact, if he continues to play like this, he might be in the conversation for Most Improved Player this season.
The term “revenge season” gets tossed around a lot in the NBA but Poole might really be having one right now and fans want to see if it lasts.
