Hannaford is recalling 1,668 units of Hannaford Seafood Salad in 12-ounce containers for having an undeclared soy allergen.
The FDA urges consumers with an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy not to consume these products as they “run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction(s).”
Products containing the undeclared allergen have use-by dates of Nov. 13, 2024, and Nov. 14, 2024.
The products were sold in Hannaford grocery stores in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts and New York, and distributed between Oct. 25 and Oct. 29.
Hannaford has since removed the product from store shelves.
At this time, there are no reports of consumer illnesses related to this product.
The FDA encourages customers who purchased affected products not to consume them and return them to the store for a full refund.
