The Sacramento Kings have been up and down to start the season.
Mike Brown’s team has a 2-2 record after four games, and they’re clearly still a work in progress.
They have to adapt their offense to DeMar DeRozan and vice versa.
Even so, the veteran shooting guard has put up some solid numbers to begin his stint in Northern California.
As pointed out by the Kings on X, DeRozan just had his fourth consecutive 20+ game to start his tenure with the Kings.
He now trails only team legends like Oscar Robertson (6 games in 1960) and Chris Webber (7 games in 1999) as the players with longer 20-point streaks to start their careers with the franchise.
DeMar DeRozan tallies his fourth straight game with 20+ points to begin his Kings tenure.

After four games, DeRozan has averaged 23 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals per game on 55% from the floor.
Notably, three-point shooting continues to be an issue, as he’s knocked down just two of his seven attempts from beyond the arc for a 28.6% three-point shooting percentage.
Then again, that’s always been the case with him, so the Kings knew what they were getting when they went after him in free agency.
DeRozan has always been a mid-range master and someone who’s made a living out of getting tough, heavily-contested buckets, and he can also create for others.
It remains to be seen how much he can give the Kings on defense at this point in his career, not to mention the spacing concerns.
But so far, so good for the former Chicago Bulls star in this new chapter of his career.
