Country music singer Brantley Gilbert stopped his concert this past weekend as his wife went into labor on his tour bus.
Gilbert, 39, paused his show in Tupelo, Mississippi Friday night as his was Amber went into labor with their newborn son.
The country star detailed the experience in an emotional Instagram post including a video on Saturday.
The video showed Gilbert rushing off stage during the performance, talking to his mother, saying she has a “new grandbaby” over the phone. When asked how Amber was doing he replied, “She’s a freaking savage.”
“So last night might have been the craziest night of my life. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget. Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I’ll never forget,” Gilbert captioned the post.
The “Bottoms Up” singer went on to give thanks to the city of Tupelo and those who helped deliver the baby and his wife.
“Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all… Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be,” he wrote.
This is the couple’s third child since being married in 2015. They also have a son Barrett, 6, and a daughter Braylen, 5.
