    State identifies N.J. man fatally shot by police officer in stairwell of home during burglary



    State officials have identified the man fatally shot by a police officer on Sunday in the Westmont section of Haddon Township in Camden County as Keith Edelin, 46, of Pennsauken.

    Haddon Township police responded to a 911 call around 1 a.m. on Nov. 3, reporting a burglary at an apartment complex on West Crystal Lake Avenue, according to a statement from the Attorney General’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability.

    Officer Luke Falkenberg and his partner arrived and encountered Edelin, who was armed with a knife, in a stairwell, according to the statement, citing a preliminary investigation.
