After losing to the Atlanta Falcons on the road at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys are sitting at 3-5 on the season, losing three straight games to teams that could be headed to the NFL playoffs.
Dallas has lost to the Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers and Falcons in three consecutive weeks, with the Cowboys looking like they have spiraled out of control with little hope of being postseason-bound at the end of the regular season.
Along with losing three straight games and being two games under .500, the Cowboys may have lost star quarterback Dak Prescott for some time due to a hamstring injury he suffered in the loss to the Falcons on Sunday.
With hamstring injuries being tricky, it remains to be seen how much time Prescott will miss, if any, but if it were up to Skip Bayless, he’d put backup Cooper Rush out there in Week 10 against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles regardless of whether Prescott is healthy or not.
“I say that next Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles at Jerry World, Cooper Rush gives my Dallas Cowboys a better chance than Dak Prescott would,” Bayless said.

With Bayless being known to make bold hot takes, and most of the time for the sake of making waves, this seems a little ridiculous, considering how much the Cowboys are paying Prescott to be their starting quarterback.
However, even though Prescott only had six incompletions on Sunday, the veteran quarterback didn’t do much to put the Cowboys in a place where they could come out on top in this game, as he threw for only 133 yards and a touchdown before going down with the hamstring injury.
It’ll be interesting to see what the Cowboys do from here on out if Prescott is injured and whether Rush can give this struggling offense a boost if given the nod in Week 10 against the Eagles.
