On Tuesday night, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was trying to find ways to minimize Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers.
But just a few months ago, he was attempting to get the most out of Davis when he was coaching Team USA in the Paris Olympics.
Following Tuesday night’s preseason game, Kerr talked about Davis and just how “shocking” he is.
According to Jovan Buha, Kerr said, “I love coaching Anthony…His defensive work, it’s just so good. … He’s a one-man wrecking crew.”

The Lakers were defeated by the Warriors 111-97 on Tuesday but Davis was once again a “one-man wrecking crew.”
He led the Lakers with a strong 24 points and 12 rebounds, clogging up the paint and holding down the team’s frontcourt plans.
Davis looked a lot like the version of himself that traveled with Team USA to Paris.
He was a huge part of that crew’s success and was a key reason why they won the gold medal.
Kerr was blown away by Davis’ performance in the Olympics and now he will have to find ways to eliminate him throughout the regular season.
As for the Lakers, they are hoping Davis keeps playing like this.
He averaged 24.7 points and 12.6 rebounds last season.
It was one of his strongest and healthiest seasons in years and LA needs him to keep it up if they have any hope of reaching the playoffs.
Lakers fans want Davis to get support and they hope to see the front office surround him with more powerful big men.
Davis will try to have another All-Star season and teams like the Warriors will attempt to stop him.
